Mayra, a Hudson County ex-pat, was in town for the St. Joseph's of the Palisades High School reunion last week when she registered with the PILOT after reading a story here about the shindig.
That made her the 50th new registrant during the contest -- and the winner.
"I almost sent [the message] to my spam folder until I saw 'Cliffview Pilot' in the subject line," said Mayra, who now lives in Florida. "I am thrilled and very pleasantly surprised -- not to mention that it comes in handy for Christmas.
"I moved to Miami over 20 years ago," she added. "Cliffview Pilot has been a new-found connection to the 'home' that I miss dearly. The articles are interesting, clear and fact filled. I will continue to read the Pilot to keep me up to date on what's happening back home."
