Two people died and three were hospitalized, including a police officer who sustained a knee injury when he fell from a roof after rescuing a resident at a Fair Lawn assisted living home for disabled adults late Monday.
The officer was hurt after he caught his foot in a gutter and fell while getting down from a roof, responders said.
“He said he could see two other victims in a room but he couldn’t get back in because of the intensity of the fire,” one of them told Daily Voice. READ MORE….
