A judge in Hackensack on Tuesday morning said he’ll issue an arrest warrant if a animal rescue operator doesn’t show up for court by the end of the day to answer a host of charges stemming from the discovery of two dead dogs and a half-dozen emaciated canines at her Dumont home.
Following a series of delays and postponements, Gabrielle Ganter was to stand trial today in Central Municipal Court.
Ganter was late for a previously scheduled hearing in August, but Judge Louis Dinice said it didn’t matter at the time because he still hadn’t received veterinary reports from the Bergen County Animal Shelter.
All the paperwork is in, authorities said.
