PUBLIC SAFETY: A new directive regarding police body cameras and the establishment for uniform procedures in use-of-force investigations will be announced this morning by New Jersey Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman, law enforcement officials confirmed.
Hoffman has scheduled an 11 a.m. news conference in Trenton that his staff said will involve “several major statewide law enforcement initiatives aimed at promoting mutual accountability, transparency and public confidence in policing throughout New Jersey.”
Also scheduled to attend are state Division of Criminal Justice Elie Honig, State Police Supt. Col. Rick Fuentes and law enforcement and community leaders from throughout New Jersey.
