ONLY ON CVP: A woman who left her bulldog in the front seat of her SUV with the windows up in Tenafly’s downtown business district had Robyn Urman to contend with this hot afternoon.
Urman, a hairstylist at the Purple Rain Salon, is also the CEO and Founder at Pet ResQ Inc.
After 10 minutes, Urman called Tenafly police.
“If that dog had died or ended up in serious distress….,” she told CLIFFVIEW PILOT, noting that temperatures this afternoon pushed past the mid-80s.
Responding Officer Joseph Grieco agreed, popped the lock on the black Mercedes truck and saved the day.
Twelve minutes or so later, the woman emerged with packages from a nearby store, Urman said.
The officer gave her a summons for having a six-months overdue inspection sticker.
Tenafly police referred the case to the Bergen County SPCA, which confirmed tonight that the owner will be charged tomorrow with animal cruelty.
